As with most of the paintings I create, there are many layers involved in "building" the work of art. This encaustic and collage piece is 60" x 60" and took 6 weeks. Here are a few photos of the work in progress showing the collage and under-painting elements that slowly evolve with each studio session until the piece is fully realized. This was the fourth painting in this series. It leads to lots of room for future exploration!
