My painting, "Dash #1", was returned to my studio after being on loan to the U.S. Embassy in Kampala, Uganda over the last four years. I was honored to have my work selected for inclusion in this important diplomatic cultural exchange. And I was especially pleased to have my work featured on the cover of the exhibition catalogue.
U. S. Ambassador, Deborah Malac, said of my work; "Dash #1 could be a silk print worn by a young Ugandan artist, and is a play on language, on dance, on rhythm, all essential parts of the Ugandan experience." Many thanks to Curator, Welmoed Loanstra, and all of her associates for making this happen.
